This year for our weekly Lenten services we will be watching episodes from season two of The Chosen where the story of the Beatitudes come to life. 

In Matthew 5: 1-10, Jesus said:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
    for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful,
    for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
    for they will be called children of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 22, at 6:00 pm we will share soup supper together in the Fellowship Hall, then at 7:00 pm we will gather in the sanctuary to worship and watch an episode from The Chosen followed by small group discussions. On Ash Wednesday we will also celebrate the Lord’s Supper.

Children 12 and under can watch at parent’s discretion or a separate children’s video will be available.
