Savoring Psalm 23

Lectio Divina is a contemplative way of reading the Bible. It is a spiritual practice that dates back to the sixth century of the Christian Church. It is a way of praying the scriptures that leads us deeper into God’s word.

1. Listen to the a section of scripture (Psalm 23) read out loud three times.
2. Before you listen, ask the Holy Spirit to lead & guide your thoughts.
3. Each time you listen, pay attention to a word or phrase that stands out to you.
4. After you are finished listening three times, share the word or phrase with someone else or write it on an index card as a reminder of God’s promise to you. Then, claim the promise throughout the day.
