Journey Project Night

By Patra Mueller, Family Life Minister

Every spring I look forward to a very special night. It usually takes place the Saturday evening before Confirmation. It is an evening set aside for parents and special guests of the confirmands to hear from the hearts of the students.

Part of Journey (Confirmation) program is the final project where students are asked to put together a project where they use and share their unique passions and gifts for God’s glory. Every year is different because every student is different. But I am always encouraged and inspired by the way the students express and describe how their faith and the gift of God’s grace in their life has impacted them to share it with others. This year was no exception. Below is a list of the students along with their specific projects. If you would like to watch the presentations yourself and be encourage and inspired, click here.

  • Lois – Served at the Welcome Table in White Center
  • Jacob – Wrote a Devotion for each month of the year
  • Isaac – Ran a pet supply drive
  • Abigail – Served at the Welcome Table in White Center
  • Noah – Created a Bible Study through soccer
  • James – Baked and delivered cookies to several fire stations
  • Oscar – Assisted coaching little league baseball
  • Kyya – Taught others Taekwondo

“Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
