April 5, 2020
Right now, it would be great if someone would make COVID-19 go away and return our lives to normal. That's similar to what 1st century Jews wanted as well - for their oppressors to leave and their lives to return to freedom. The thing is that Jesus came, not as the conquering hero they wanted, but as the loving savior they needed - and that's how He comes for you and me this Palm Sunday as well. There is great HOPE as we trust this situation and every moment of our lives to Him!

As Paul was encouraging Timothy, he said this: "God has not given us a Spirit of Fear, but Power, Love and a Sound Mind." 2 Timothy 1:7
This is a beautiful promise that we can claim as the Hope Community together by praying at 1:07 each afternoon. Will you consider joining in prayer every day at 1:07 pm? After you have finished lunch and are heading into your afternoon routine, please join your Hope family in prayer at 1:07 pm and claim this promise for yourself, your family and for those medical workers serving on the front line, and others who specifically need it.
As the days go by, please feel free to send prayer requests to the church so all of us can approach God's throne of grace together with confidence asking Him to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)
