Jesus came from a messed up family line… Some of his ancestors made huge mistakes and caused a lot of pain to others. When we mess up, it’s tempting to feel like we are disqualified from being of any use in God’s kingdom work in this world. The next time you feel disqualified because of your past or your shortcomings, remember Jesus' family tree. It's not about where you've been or what you've done. It's about where God is taking you and what he wants to do through you. This is the beauty of the gospel - it's not about perfect people, but a perfect Savior. Jesus didn't come from a line of flawless individuals, but he came to take flawed individuals like us all, love and forgive us, and send us out as His ambassadors of love and light in a dark world.
