What do angels and shepherds have to do with each other? Not much, except they collide in the magnificent story of Christmas! Interestingly, each are also symbols of who Jesus is for us - a messenger of the good news of the Kingdom of God and the good shepherd who lays down his life for us and leads us through life. It’s tempting to live life as if we are all on our own, but that road leads to discouragement and death. The invitation this Advent is to trust Jesus as messenger of the good news that He is our good shepherd! By faith in Him, we can have great strength and hope each day!
