When the tyrant King Herod caught wind that a NEW king had been born in Israel, he was mad as a person can be. While he didn’t fully understand it, he intuitively knew that an entirely new era was dawning - and he had no idea that it had not to do just with Israel, but with the whole world. A shepherd king had come, God in the flesh, to become Savior of the world. That shepherd king would begin the work of humbling the mighty and raising up the humble. This is the good news that brings the magi and us to worship the new born King of all kings! As we begin the new year of 2025, we have an opportunity to reject the darkness and trust in Jesus the shepherd king in every moment of every day!
