Who is Jesus? One thing that marked Jesus as different from most teachers of his time was that he often taught by telling stories that illustrated the idea He was attempting to convey. One of those stories underscores the image of Jesus as shepherd of His people - a picture of God that goes back to King David and Old Testament times. The great news is that Jesus watches over and follows us all the days of our lives, just like a good shepherd cares for his sheep and chases after them when they get into harm’s way. He never leaves us or forsakes us and His love endures forever!
