Who is Jesus? As we begin the season of Lent, we begin a time of exploring some of the answers to this important question. While we mostly focus on Jesus’ humanity and suffering on our behalf during Lent, we begin this new series of messages with the reminder that Jesus is also God’s Son and deeply loved and blessed by Him. Indeed, if that were not so, it would have been much more difficult for Jesus to fulfill His mission. Likewise, connecting with the knowledge that we too are deeply loved by God is critical for the life and mission to which we have been called by God.
