Who is God? He is a Warrior Savior who fights on behalf of those put their faith in Him and fights against the forces of evil in this world. We see this awe-inspiring and hope-giving characteristic of God throughout the stories of God’s people in the Old and New Testaments as well as through 2000+ years of church history. This is great news because it means that we don’t have to carry the weight of fighting our battles in life alone - when we turn to Him in repentance and faith, He fights with us, in us, and for us. Even though we don’t win every battle in this life, the great hope of Christian faith is that one day Jesus is coming back to destroy the forces of evil once and for all! When He does, peace will finally come in fullness on earth and in our hearts.
