Jesus has come to save us and to bring abundant life to our hearts. The problem is that as our hearts go through difficult things in this life, some of them of our own making, it’s tempting to conclude that there’s no hope for new life or transformation. The thief whispers in our ears that our mistakes and the wounds of our hearts are the truest thing about us - but Jesus comes as a “ransom for many” - to ransom us from that false idea and to win our hearts to an understanding of new life with a new heart in Him as the truest thing about us. A heart that is increasingly fully alive is a possibility in Jesus who makes ALL things new!
