If you want your heart to become increasingly fully alive, two things are essential: deep restoration of the hurting places in your heart and a willingness to acknowledge you have an enemy and begin engaging in spiritual warfare. Deep restoration can begin to come especially through healing prayer as we invite Jesus into those places in our hearts. Spiritual warfare is something that Jesus and all the writers of the New Testament assume is a reality - it is engaged in by claiming the truth about who God says we are in Christ and breaking agreements we’ve made with false messages from the thief. The good news is that Jesus has conquered the forces of evil and gives us His authority to break through into freedom!
