What is something that you dream of for your life that seems so impossible that you don’t even let yourself imagine it? In Ephesians 3, Paul writes another prayer that the Ephesians (and us) would grasp how wide and high and long God’s love for us is—and that even 1st century outsiders like Gentiles are now included as recipients of God’s love and the joy of being in his family—something which seemed impossible to imagine for 1st century Jews. Paul ends this chapter by describing God as the one who is worthy of praise precisely because he is able to do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.”
