Many people in our culture are focused on obtaining and exerting power over others or being upset that others have power over them. Jesus modeled for us the beauty of being someone who puts the needs of others ahead of their own. In this section of Ephesians, Paul give practical examples of how Christians are called to do the same in marriage, parenting, and in the workplace. As brothers and sisters in Christ, the goal is to radiate God’s glory and love in mutual submission to each other and serving each other well because Christ demonstrated great love for us first in giving his life for us.
BIG IDEA QUESTION: What is one time when someone served you well? This could be in your family, among friends, in the workplace, or somewhere else.
