Who are the followers of Jesus? What are we meant to be like? We are often devoted in our faith, but the challenge of life in our hyper-connected world is that we are just as often distracted from Jesus. Like the first disciples who didn’t even recognize him after his resurrection, the risk for us is to be so focused on the many details of our lives that we miss seeing and hearing Jesus when He is right in front of us. The call to follow Jesus includes the call to intentionally be present to His presence and to resist the many distractions that would otherwise prevent or reduce connection with our risen Savior.
