“Not my will, but thy will be done.” Those are tough words to pray. They were tough even for Jesus to pray. Sometimes the path God has for us goes through some difficult valleys and times of darkness - other times, He leads us beside green pastures and still waters. Even when we don’t know where God is leading us, praying with a posture of surrender to His will is an important exercise in humility and submission to our Creator, Redeemer, and Comforter. May He give us the strength to pray as Jesus did in that regard!
