In the 1st century, Jewish Christians sometimes made Gentile Christians feel as if they were 2nd class citizens in the Kingdom of God. Thankfully, Paul and others clearly teach that all who put their faith in Jesus are woven into His chosen people and together are sent to rescue others. Sometimes you might feel like the messy parts of your story may have disqualified you from being used by God in His kingdom - but the truth is that God specializes in transforming our pain into our purpose. He excels at bringing good out of bad, and the things that might feel like they disqualify you actually uniquely qualify you to join Jesus on His mission of rescuing the hearts of the people of this world in ways that only you can. Dare to trust Paul’s promise that God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine!
