Have you ever made plans for your life only to have God interrupt them? That’s what happened to Mary and Joseph - neither one of them imagined that they would become the parents of the Savior until an angel brought that message to each of them. They had the opportunity to resist it, but ultimately they said “yes” — and it changed their lives and the trajectory of human history. Salvation by faith in Jesus became possible in part because they faithfully followed God’s calling, despite the cost.
