THE STORY: Ezra - The Return Home
Every good thing you have is a pure gift from God (even the ones you worked for). The people of Judah experienced this when God moved the King of Persia to not only allow them to return to Judah to rebuild, but even paid for all of their expenses. But they also learned that if we want God’s blessing in the rebuilding, it’s critical to continue to DEPEND on Him and do His work in HIS way. There is great hope for you and me in this story - even when your life falls apart, God invites you to seek Him first as He helps you to rebuild.

HOPE CHURCH CHECK-IN SURVEY
As you know, there have been a variety of guidelines and requirements issued by the CDC, WA State, and King County related to when and how various organizations, including churches, may re-open. These have been changing weekly and sometimes daily. As Hope’s staff and elected leaders monitor these developments, we would like to get your perspective to help us in making decisions in this unprecedented time. While we want to serve the people of Hope and of our community and also find ways for people to connect relationally, we want to do so in the safest and most responsible ways possible so that we might truly heed the call of Jesus to love our neighbors as ourselves. We invite you and any members of your household to please complete a brief survey to share your perspective by CLICKING HERE. This survey is live now and will be available until midnight on Thursday, June 5th.
Thanks so much for your response, and please let us know if there’s any way we can serve you!

ANNUAL MEETING OF HOPE CONGREGATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Sunday, June 14 at 7:00 PM on Zoom
Every year in June, we hold a meeting of Hope’s Congregational Assembly for the purposes of voting on our annual budget and electing new members of the Board of Directors, Board of Elders, and Foundation Board of Trustees. Additionally, various staff will share updates on ministry accomplishments over the last year as well as give a sense of where we are headed in the next year. It’s an important time of celebration and reflection, anticipation and action!

Based on current re-opening guidelines from the state of Washington, the earliest we anticipate being able to offer in-person worship services or other events, even in smaller groups, is Sunday June 28th. That is not a guarantee, just the earliest possible date the government has published. Given that reality, the annual meeting of Hope’s Congregational Assembly (all Hope church communicant members age 18 and older), will need to be held in an online format. As many people are already familiar with the Zoom platform, that meeting will take place on Zoom. In order to attend, you will need to pre-register for the meeting by CLICKING HERE. The reason for pre-registration is two-fold: 1) to provide the meeting link only to voting members, and 2) to record attendance.

Once you have registered, you will receive an email a couple of days before the meeting on June 14th with the link to the meeting. You will need to obtain the free Zoom app for your computer, smartphone, or tablet to participate by video. Otherwise, a phone number will also be provided where you can call in to the meeting - you will not be able to see anyone or be seen, but you will be able to listen and speak if you call in on the phone. You can get the Zoom app by CLICKING HERE. Please contact Pastor Peter at if you have any questions about how to attend this online meeting or other questions related to the meeting.

Hope Church will have limited business hours during this time. Please do not hesitate to call and leave a voicemail or email the church office with any prayer requests or updates. Click the photos below for more resources.

If you mailed in offering, please note that our mail and counters may also be delayed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
