ACADEMICS
At Hope Lutheran School, we strive to give every student the best start possible in the path that God has laid out for them. Many schools are focused on the “Rs” of academics; while these are very important to us as well, at Hope Lutheran we believe that they are part of a process contributing to a greater purpose as students are nurtured academically, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. As a small, Christian school, we have identified our own “Rs” that we cultivate in forming “Roots of Success”. They are Relationships, Respect, Responsibility, and Rigor.
At the heart of a Hope Lutheran education is relationships. This includes relationships between students and teachers, students and other students, teachers and parents, and even students and parents. Most of all, it means providing every student with an opportunity to build a personal relationship with Jesus. Beyond relationships, every student is encouraged to grow in respect towards others and the world around them, to take personal responsibility for their actions, and to own the outcomes of those actions. The final R is rigor. A rigorous education consists of challenging and integrated instruction that allows all students to achieve their highest potential.
